Curtis Struyk
Curtis Struyk, a Carteret County native, graduated from East Carteret in 1982. He continued his studies at East Carolina University, where he not only excelled academically but also as a three-year letter winner in football. He received his degree in Industrial Technology with a concentration in Construction Management in 1987. Curtis is the President of TMX Shipping Company, an international freight forwarder and NVOCC in Morehead City, North Carolina, specializing in exporting wood products worldwide. TMX is a full-service company whose customer service representatives oversee every aspect of shipping process, allowing their customers to focus on their core competencies. As an industry leader for 38 years, TMX is the largest ocean container exporter in the U.S., exporting over 50,000 40-foot containers annually.
