Matt Crisp

Matt Crisp, originally from Washington, North Carolina, is a seasoned business executive and entrepreneur with a strong background in finance and technology. After earning his B.S. in Business Administration and MBA from East Carolina University, he began his career in investment services and consulting before co-founding eVestment, a global financial technology firm serving the institutional investment industry. As Chief Operating Officer, he helped grow the company from four partners to over 400 employees worldwide, leading international expansion, multiple acquisitions, and its eventual acquisition by NASDAQ in 2017. Following the sale, Matt transitioned to private investing through Gratus Private Capital, deploying nearly $10 million into high-growth companies valued at over $4.7 billion. He remains active in philanthropic and educational leadership roles, serving on the boards of The Ron Clark Academy, the ECU Foundation, and the Crisp Small Business Resource Center. Matt lives in Marietta, with his wife Kim and is the proud father of three children.
